2010 Corn Roast

As you know, the 47th. annual Lake Waseosa Ratepayers' Association Corn Roast will take place on the Saturday of Labour Day weekend from 1-4 p.m. (Saturday, 4 September).  In case of rain, it will be postponed until Sunday at the same time.

Everyone is invited to the Corn Roast.  We realize that many people will have cottages full of friends: bring them to the Corn Roast for an enjoyable lunch on Saturday 4 September.  Members and non-members, children and non-children alike, are all invited to meet others on our lakes and in the surrounding area.

Once again, the Corn Roast will be hosted by the West Family at their house at 1346 South Waseosa Lake Road.

As in recent years, there will be a raffle of items donated by LWRA members.  If you have any items to donate that others might enjoy winning in the raffle, please bring them to the Corn Roast. [[other details to be provided by Cam.]]

Last year, we had a 'desert auction' in which a number of members brought deserts.  If you can provide us with a dessert, that would be wonderful.

Finally, if there is a 'rain postponement' of the Corn Roast until Sunday, a notice will be posted on the LWRA website.  If you would like to be notified by telephone if the corn roast is postponed until Sunday, please let us know and we will try to telephone you if the event is postponed.  But we will assume that the Corn Roast will happen on Saturday 4 September from 1-4 pm unless a notice is posted on the website.

We look forward to seeing you on Saturday 4 September.
